Undelete SD Card is a system utility that allows you to recover files. As you may already know, when you delete a file from your computer, or in this case, from an SD card, the file may be recoverable. In most cases, an application like this can recover the file and let you save it back to your computer. Even though the name of this app suggests that it can only be used with SD cards, the case is that it works with floppy discs, USB flash drives, SD memory cards, and other types of removable media.
When you launch the application, you will see a welcome screen with two buttons. These take you to the two recovery modes. The first one lets you recover files that you may have accidentally deleted from your media. You will be able to scan any removable drive connected to your PC, but not your hard drive. The second mode works similarly, but for erased partitions.
In my testing, I scanned an SD card and an old iPod 5th gen. The app immediately showed a list of files that it could recover from each device. I was amazed at how fast the scanning process was. Since I was using the demo version of the app, I couldn't recover any files or even preview them. But I can say by looking at the names that the application did find a lot of files that I had deleted. In the full version, you can simply select the files that you want to recover and save them to any folder on your PC.
